World Central Kitchen Fundraiser Round Two

A week ago, the world was horrified at an attack on Israel by Hamas. In a region already plagued by senseless violence and controversy, this comes as another heartbreak to the world stage. My prayers go out to both the families of those who lost their lives in the attack, and also to the families of those who continue to be impacted in Gaza.

I recognize the luxury and privilege I have to live in a relatively safe place that has allowed me to take a moment to breathe and calmly assess the situation before making rash conclusions about the recent conflict. I want to urge you as a reader to do the same. The horrible violence committed by both Hamas against Israeli civilians and the leadership of Israel against Palestinians should be condemned. Neither is representative of all Palestinian or Israeli people, and we as outsiders in the world should look at them as such, and step in to do good and not harm to an already extremely volatile situation.

Please note: This is a safe and positive space for community and friendly interaction with one another. If you want to have a debate about foreign policy or the world stage or anything else, this is not the place to do so.

How I Hope to Make a Difference

In my conscious efforts to make my life’s impact on this world a net positive, I started something last year in Thanksgiving season to raise money to feed people in need around the world, by rallying together a small donation alongside my friends and followers to the World Central Kitchen. In light of current events, I’m feeling an urge of the Spirit to start the fundraising early to help as much as possible, so that effort on my end starts today.

Beginning today, I am bringing back the 15% discount on all clothing and merch items in the Shop. Please use the code “AID23” when you check out to make sure I can mark your purchase down as allocations for donations.

If you happen to be in a country in the world I can’t ship merch to, or if you don’t want any of the merch but still want to participate in the fundraiser, send me a message on Instagram @jordancoley and I’ll get you an alternate method to contribute to the donation!

I will be making two donations on all our behalf, one on November 1st, and the second on November 14th, and I’ll update you all as I did last year on how much we raised. Let’s absolutely crush what we raised last year.
